Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie

Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie

Original theatrical trailer # 1

Frankenweenie

Was shot at 3 Mills Studios in East London from early 2010 to Spring 2012.

The film had a massively talented crew, including a raft of world class animators, including Mark Waring (animation supervisor), Tobias Fouracre, Chuck Duke, Tim Allen, Steve Warne, Daniel Kraev, Anthony Ellsworthy, Brian Hansen, and Jens Guliksen, to name just a handful.

Original theatrical trailer #2

Victor & Edgar

Victor meets Edgar to discuss the school science project followed by shots from the Dutch Day chase. A selection of clips featuring the work of animator Chuck Duke.

You can watch my interview with Chuck here

Victor mourns the recent loss of his pet dog Sparky.

The beginning of this scene in Victor's bedroom took several months to complete. It was one of the first shots I worked on and was a technically demanding combination of motion control, onset projection combined with character animation. I shot many iterations of live-action water rolling across a screen and then projected the footage frame by frame through the window to create the rain effect.

Animation by Daniel Alderson, Kim Keukeleire & Jody Meredith.
